A blend of aesthetics and practicality

JV Architects were asked to take part in a community project on a voluntary basis to transform an old dilapidated Baptist Chapel into a fun and thriving community centre with very good acoustic qualities. On completion of the work the Chairman wrote,

“The great success of Sunflower House, our community venue opened in August 2014, is due in no small part to John Verkaik and JV Architects. The tasteful and sensitive way John oversaw the design and restoration of this dilapidated former chapel was a triumph. All who visit and use Sunflower House remark on the friendly spatial atmosphere, the warmth of the renovated internal brickwork, the clever use of natural light, the practicalities of the kitchen, toilets and office. We were proud to work with such a professional.”
