We can help
This neglected 1970s building was left to ruin for some 20 years and suffered from leaking roofs, rotten windows, cracked internal walls and no insulation.
Our challenge was to reconfigure the internal spaces, renovate and extend the building to bring it up to and beyond current thermal and aesthetic standards and redesign the inside to suite the client’s family and business requirements.
This was achieved by super insulating the loft, applying cavity wall insulation and wrapping the building in SF40 multi-foil insulation. It was then finished with Marley Cedral weather boarding, broken up with panels of two part K Render finish. Once the UPVC fascias and soffits and triple glazed windows and doors were fitted it became practically maintenance free and its EPC Rating went from F (extremely poor energy efficiency) to B+ (extremely energy efficient).
Additional environmental credentials included a 5000 litre rainwater harvesting unit built under the new patio, a wood burning stove heating both the radiators and hot water, future plans for solar panels on the new extension and a fully LED lighting system.
